Effective Date: November 1, 2026
StackExtract (“StackExtract,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that help users extract, review, validate, and export information from financial documents. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use StackExtract.
1. Information We Handle
When you create or use an account, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, your language preference, your account settings, subscription information, and activity associated with your account. Your password is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider.
When you upload a supported financial document, StackExtract processes the document and its contents to provide the features you request. Extracted information, edits, validation results, and related account history may remain available in your account.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and support StackExtract, including to process documents, generate and validate results, create exports, maintain account history, manage purchases and subscriptions, provide customer support and Assisted Review when requested, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations.
3. AI and Automated Processing
StackExtract uses automated technologies, including artificial intelligence, to process documents and produce extracted information.
We do not train AI models on your files.
Automated extraction can occasionally make mistakes, so users should review results before relying on or exporting them. If you request Assisted Review, an authorized reviewer may access the relevant document and extracted information for the purpose of checking and correcting the extraction.
4. Document Retention and Deletion
Original uploaded PDFs are automatically deleted 30 days after upload, during the next daily cleanup. A document with an Assisted Review still in progress is kept until that review is finished. Extracted information, edits, validation results, and export-related information may remain available in your account after the original PDF is deleted.
You may also delete individual documents through your account. Files you have already downloaded to your own device are not affected by later deletion within StackExtract.
5. Payments
Payments and subscriptions are processed through Stripe. StackExtract does not store your complete payment-card number. We may retain billing and transaction records needed for account administration, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or legal purposes.
6. Exporting and Deleting Your Account
StackExtract lets you export your account data, including your profile, extracted information and edit history, and permanently delete your account. Original PDFs are not included in the account export.
Account deletion removes your profile, documents, extracted information, and edits and cancels an active subscription. Account deletion does not refund an unused portion of a current subscription period. Some records may be kept after deletion where needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, or legal purposes, including billing records held by our payment processor and internal security logs.
7. Service Providers
We use the following service providers to operate StackExtract: Supabase for our database, sign-in and file storage; Vercel for hosting; Google, through its Gemini service, for automated document processing; Inngest for background processing; Stripe for payments; Resend for email delivery; and Crisp for customer support chat. Information these providers hold, such as support chat history, email delivery records and processing logs, follows their own retention periods and may not be removed immediately when you delete your account.
We do not sell your uploaded financial documents or extracted financial information.
8. Information Disclosure
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate StackExtract, when you request a service such as Assisted Review, when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect StackExtract, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
Authorized StackExtract staff can access account and document information when needed to provide support, resolve problems, or keep the service secure.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled through StackExtract. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies
StackExtract uses cookies needed for the service to work: one to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. Our support chat, provided by Crisp, also sets cookies so a conversation can continue across pages and visits. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can export account data, delete individual documents, and delete your account using the controls available in StackExtract. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.
12. Children’s Privacy
StackExtract is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StackExtract evolves. When appropriate, we will update the effective date or provide additional notice of material changes.
