Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of StackExtract. By creating an account, purchasing a product or subscription, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. StackExtract

StackExtract provides tools for extracting, reviewing, validating, editing, and exporting information from supported financial documents. Available features, document types, plan limits, and pricing may change as the service develops.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your account credentials, and activity occurring through your account.

3. Your Documents

You retain your rights in documents and information you upload. You confirm that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit, including documents containing information about clients or other third parties.

You give StackExtract permission to process your documents and information only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Results and Review

StackExtract uses automated technologies to extract and check information. Automated systems can occasionally make mistakes or omit information. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them or sending them to another system.

Validation, reconciliation, or similar checks are designed to help identify potential issues but do not guarantee that a document or extraction is completely error-free.

5. Assisted Review

If you purchase Assisted Review, an authorized reviewer may check the applicable extraction and make corrections. Assisted Review is designed to improve extraction quality but is not an audit or professional accounting, tax, financial, payroll, or legal service. You remain responsible for reviewing the final output.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

StackExtract may offer one-time purchases and recurring subscription plans. The price, included usage, and features of a purchase or plan are shown before purchase.

Recurring subscriptions renew at the applicable billing interval until canceled. Plan changes are made through the billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel a subscription, cancellation stops future renewal and your paid plan generally remains available through the end of the current paid billing period.

Usage included in a subscription resets at each renewal and does not carry over. Credits from one-time purchases and top-ups do not expire.

7. Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated by StackExtract, payments are non-refundable after the applicable paid service or access has been provided. Deleting an account does not create a refund for the unused portion of a current subscription period.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use StackExtract unlawfully, process documents you are not authorized to use, attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems, interfere with the service, circumvent billing or usage restrictions, introduce harmful code, or use the service to facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity.

9. Privacy

Your use of StackExtract is also subject to the StackExtract Privacy Policy, which explains how documents, extracted information, account information, retention, deletion, and service providers are handled.

10. Ownership of StackExtract

StackExtract and its licensors retain their rights in the software, branding, interfaces, documentation, and underlying technology. These Terms allow you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of StackExtract to you.

11. Third-Party Services

StackExtract uses third-party services to operate parts of the product, including services related to payments, hosting, email delivery, customer support, and document processing. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies.

12. Service Availability

We work to keep StackExtract reliable and available, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, maintain, or modify the service as needed.

13. Suspension or Termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary because of nonpayment, suspected fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms. You may stop using StackExtract or delete your account at any time.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, StackExtract is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every extraction, validation, reconciliation, export, or Assisted Review result will be complete or error-free.

StackExtract is document-processing software and does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, investment, financial, payroll, or legal advice.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackExtract and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackExtract’s total liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to StackExtract during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100. These limitations do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.

16. Responsibility for Your Use

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims arising from your unlawful use of StackExtract, your violation of these Terms, or documents you submit without sufficient rights or authority.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as StackExtract evolves. When appropriate, we will update the effective date or provide additional notice of material changes.

19. General Terms

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any terms presented at purchase form the agreement governing your use of StackExtract.
